I have an upcoming printmaking demonstration at Artspace at Untitled in Oklahoma City. The artist talks and demos are for The [Press] at Untitled’s Monothon printmaking event.

My printmaking demo will be on Saturday, Feb. 28th, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm  “Chine colle’ and Collage”

I will give a demonstration on chine colle’ and collage methods for printing and layering other elements on the press.

(Dylan Bradway will also give a demo on the 28th (12pm-2pm) on “Painterly Approach” – Monotype is considered the painterly process of printmaking, and this demo will take that sole painterly approach to the process of creating a monoprint.)

I had a great weekend making monoprints in the [Press] at Untitled printmaking studio.  This is the third year I have participated in this wonderful printmaking event.  The art reception is Friday, September 16th from 5-8pm with a silent auction of all of the prints and proceeds going to the [Press].

From their website:

[Artspace] at Untitled is pleased to present the Third Annual Untitled Monothon which will open with a reception and silent auction September 16 from 5 – 8pm and will be on view through October 1. The Monothon is a juried exhibition of monoprints by 33 artists selected by a panel of jurors to participate in a marathon of printmaking in the [Press] at Untitled. Each selected artist had two days to create up to two monoprints. Out of the two monoprints, the jurors chose one print to be offered for sale in the silent auction, the proceeds going toward [Press] at Untitled programming.

The Untitled Monothon will be open to the public Tues – Fri: 10am – 5pm and Sat: 10am – 4pm, Sept 16 through Oct 1. The Opening Reception & Silent Auction will be on Friday, Sept 16 from 5-8pm. Admission is free.
