We are about to start renovations on a new studio space. With all of my art supplies and studio furniture piled into the center of the living room and back room, it is absolute chaos here! I am still trying to work on a few small art projects here and there in the middle of this craziness. This 4” x 4” tile is part of a new series of small clay works.

Last year my Great-Grandfather, Frank “Pistol Pete” Eaton, was inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners at the 2022 Western Heritage Awards for the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. So many of the former Pistol Pete mascots were there and went on stage with my aunt and uncles to accept the award. It was a wonderful ceremony and great to see lots of family!

Our family’s foundation is currenlty working with Cedar Gate Publishing to republish Frank Eaton’s autobiography. The books will be available in a few months on Amazon with paperback, hardback, and a Kindle version as well! I will post a link when it is available.

This is my latest watercolor commission, painted for @reed523 – it is 6” x 9” on Arches paper. With such a small painting, I just got a desktop magnifying glass to paint some of the tiny details on the custom cargo bicycle – including the bike’s decal stickers. I used paints from Redbud Pigment Co. LLC with handmade watercolors made in Oklahoma. The scene depicts Oklahoma on the right with a red dirt trail and Colorado on the left.

I have artwork included in a three person exhibition at Modella Art Gallery, along with artists Dawn Behrens and Amanda Lilley.

Modella Art Gallery is open on Thursday and Friday from 2pm-6pm and Saturday from 10am-3pm.

I have several clay ornaments and other small works available at Modella Gallery through December.
