(from their website) Measuring just twelve inches square, fresh art by 150 Oklahoma artists is featured at the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition’s 25th Annual 12×12 Art Fundraiser along with live music and local restaurants for a one-night-only event. Held on Friday, September 19, 7:00 pm at Science Museum Oklahoma (2100 Northeast 52nd Street) in Oklahoma City, the 12×12 Art Fundraiser raises funds for the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) to help artists throughout Oklahoma to realize their potential. The 2013 12×12 raised $68,000 through sponsorships and art sales with more than 1,000 in attendance. Funds raised from the event support OVAC’s programs for artists including education, exposure and funding. Tickets to the 25th Annual 12×12 Art Fundraiser are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. (from their website) This coming Saturday, September the 12^th the former Paseo Originals Art Gallery will début itself anew as Kasum Contemporary Fine Art; now in the Plaza District at 1706 NW 16^th Street (Oklahoma City, OK 73106). The Grand Opening will take place from 7:00 – 11:00 during Live on the Plaza; a monthly arts and entertainment walk. The gallery will exhibit a large selection of familiar and new gallery artists, from artists across the globe, that canvas a broad range of styles and techniques.

A Group Exhibition of Twenty Six Represented Artists

This February Paseo Originals Art Gallery will host a kaleidoscopic exhibition of artwork by represented gallery artists which as a whole demonstrate an extreme diversity of style interest and artistic approach. Headlining the event will be a jewelry trunk show for the new design collection by Norman, Oklahoma artist Tomoaki Orikasa. Other visual creatives to be featured in the show will include: Katherine Liontas Warren, Todd Jenkins, Chris Claussen, Stacey D. Miller, Roy Orr, Paul Pfrehm, Barbara Scott, Mary Bechtol, Jan Brieschke, Kate Rivers, Francene Levinson, Brett McDanel, Benjamin Soehnel, Pavel Wang Yu Tsai, John Byrne, Ron Fleming, Micheal Zecca, Wayne McKinzey, Michelle Himes McCrory, Jim Dodson Jr., LeRoy Schultz, Bob Adams, Joe Turk, Tom Wester and Morgan Robinson. The exhibiting artists represent over twenty different forms of media ranging from new media to precious metal. An Opening Reception is scheduled to be held Friday, February 1st from 6:00-10:00 PM at Paseo Originals Art Gallery for the group exhibit “Alphabet Soup”. The exhibit will run from February 1st through the 27th of the month. The exhibit and all associated events are free and open to the public.
